Our client company, a world leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is currently interviewing for a Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the maintenance of all processes and coordinating all maintenance activities at the plant. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for directing the efforts of the maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Supervisor will focus on developing his/her skills in the competencies within the maintenance organization.
Additional responsibilities include:

¥ Provide hands-on technical support for down equipment coverage and/or project coverage
¥ Hold shift transition meetings at the beginning and end of shift with all Maintenance Technicians
¥ Perform installation, corrective maintenance or preventive/predictive maintenance on any and all pieces of equipment
¥ Be responsive and dedicated to meeting production needs and requirements.
¥ Assign corrective work orders and project assignments to maintenance techs to ensure all repairs to equipment are completed in a timely manner.
¥ Priority on any safety issues that arise and need to be addressed in the plant
¥ Manage maintenance technician’s overtime to meet down equipment demands each day
¥ Training of operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
¥ Manage outside contractors concerning production equipment modifications, renovations and installations.
¥ Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to initiate, record and track all work orders.
¥ Review all work orders generated and close during the shift and routes work orders to specific departments as required for completion of activities
¥ Work with Production Facilitators to prioritize maintenance work and reduce downtime on the assembly cells
¥ Assist maintenance manager in preparation of mid year and year end reviews of maintenance technicians
¥ Support the plant’s facilities technicians when needed to ensure reliable operation of the plants infrastructure.
¥ Drive Lean initiatives in the maintenance department (5S, VM, LTA, SW, AM, Kaizen)
¥ Coordinate Plant Shutdown activities including work that needs to be done, plan for any materials or equipment needed and schedule resources.
¥ Enter requisitions in MfgPro as needed

Job Skills & Requirements:
¥ Associates Degree in a maintenance field or Maintenance Management Certificate; Bachelors Degree is a plus
¥ At least 3 years of maintenance supervision experience from a manufacturing environment
¥ 5+ years of hands-on mechanical & electrical maintenance experience
¥ Strong leadership and communication skills
¥ Proven record of mentoring and coaching others
¥ Technical skills needed for the position include:
o Reading electrical schematics and hardwiring to prints
o Troubleshooting electrical systems
o Use of electrical test equipment (multi-meters, amp probes, data recorders, etc.)
o Troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmissions systems
o Welding Skills
o Interfacing PCs to PLC and CNC controllers
o Troubleshooting PLCs - Allen Bradley preferred
General knowledge of the National Electrical Code
